CoSoSys releases Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention for Mac OS X

June 2013 by Emmanuelle Lamandé

CoSoSys releases Content-Aware Data Loss Prevention (DLP) for Mac OS X.

Content Aware Data Loss Prevention for Mac OS X meets the content protection needs and data loss prevention requirements and helps IT administrators in their mission to turn Macs into computers secure for the enterprise. With strong policies for computers, users, groups and departments, Content Aware Protection for Mac by Endpoint Protector reports file transfers to removable devices, online applications and to the cloud. Data losses, data thefts and data leakages are stopped and compliance requirements are met.

This first version of Content Aware Protection for Mac OS X helps businesses to stay compliant and to protect their sensitive information through features and capabilities like:

Content Aware policies based on File Type, Predefined Content (Personal Identifiable Information / PII, Credit Card Numbers / CCNs), Custom Content (in depth scanning of keywords).

Block and report files transfers, uploads or attachments to applications / services like Outlook, Thunderbird, Skype, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

Stop users from Copy & Pasting confidential information.

Strong reporting section that offers all the information companies need in order to take measures in case data breaches occur or to establish the weak link among their employees, etc.

Content Aware Protection and Device Control for Mac OS X modules form a complete Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution for SMBs and enterprises. Both modules are available as Hardware or Virtual appliance within the Endpoint Protector 4 centralized web-based administration console and the licensing is perpetual.
