Chinese card manufacturer counts on LEGIC® security

August 2010 by Marc Jacob

Shenzhen Card Intelligent Science & Technology, Chinese manufacturer of IC cards and electronic tags, is a new licence partner of LEGIC Identsystems Ltd, a leading manufacturer of contactless smart card technology for personal identification. The Chinese card manufacturer will be able to offer to its customers contactless IC cards based on the innovative LEGIC advant technology. The cards will also be used by end users in public transport services and universities.

Shenzhen Card Intelligent Science & Technology is a professional manufacturer of IC cards and electronic tags and was founded in 2004 as a corporation concentrating on IC card and RFID tag production. The company’s product portfolio covers all aspects of card manufacturing and services including the entire production process as well as the personalization, coding and programming.

“We look forward to work with the LEGIC advant technology that fulfils our over-all requirements in terms of flexibility and security. As our customers are from many different industries the basic identification technology has to be very flexible”, explains Yan Bin Jun, General Manager of Shenzhen Card Intelligent Science & Technology. “The decision for the LEGIC multi-application technology was definitely the right choice and an important step for our future business. It especially helps us to serve the growing needs to provide multi-service schemes in enhanced transport ticketing or smart campus cards in schools and universities.”

Dr Otto Eggimann, Vice President Sales and Business Development of LEGIC, expects a fruitful collaboration: “The flexibility of our technology was convincing. Shenzhen Card Intelligent Science & Technology has a good market position with a lot of interesting customers and prospects, of which we are also going to benefit from the partnership.”?
