Black Lotus Communication Chooses GlobalSign’s SSL Certificates to Enhance Protection Offerings

GlobalSign, one of the longest established Certification Authorities (CA) and specialists in SSL Partner Programs, today announced a new partnership with Black Lotus Communications, a leading provider of DDoS protection, managed hosting and unmanaged dedicated servers. The newly formed partnership will allow Black Lotus to enhance their leading protection solutions by offering GlobalSign’s highly trusted, future proof SSL Certificates.
Since 1999, implementing robust and cost effective DDoS protective solutions has been the foundation of Black Lotus Communications. Black Lotus Communications has since expanded their service portfolio to include everything needed to protect websites, servers and hosting environments. By adding SSL Certificates to their portfolio, Black Lotus will not only enhance its protection services, but will truly offer customers a one-stop-shop online security service.
Black Lotus sought an SSL provider who could offer highly trusted and reliable SSL Certificates, but at an affordable cost as the company’s business model revolves around delivering high grade solutions at economical prices. Black Lotus chose GlobalSign for the highly trusted range of value add GlobalSign SSL Certificates, and will enjoy the extra benefits of GlobalSign’s integration with the Ubersmith web hosting billing management platform. The Ubersmith integration allows Black Lotus to manage and automate SSL Certificate reselling from the same Ubersmith platform they already use to manage their existing portfolio. Adding the GlobalSign SSL Certificate range to their portfolio will provide Black Lotus an additional revenue stream with a fast time to market.

GlobalSign’s SSL Certificates will be included in Black Lotus hosting and server bundle packages. All GlobalSign SSL Certificates are inclusive of Server Gated Cryptography (SGC) (to “step up” weak browser encryption to strong encryption on older browsers) and are issued from the widely distributed 2048 bit GlobalSign Root CA.
