Avnet Extends Its Solutions Capabilities by Completing the Acquisition of French Value-added Distributor Amosdec

Avnet Technology Solutions, a global IT solutions distribution and operating group of Avnet, Inc., confirmed today that it has completed its acquisition of value-added IT distributor Amosdec SAS. Recognised as a leader in the areas of virtualisation, storage and training, Amosdec brings additional strength to Avnet Technology Solutions’ data centre technology offerings in France.
Founded in 1990, Amosdec distributes solutions for key data centre technologies to more than 500 value-added resellers (VARs) in France. Its specialised approach makes Amosdec a well recognised and respected partner to VARs and technology suppliers. In addition to being a leading VMware distributor and a key distribution partner to NetApp, Amosdec carries other industry-recognised software lines enabling it to deliver complete solutions that address end-customer business problems. The company also offers a broad range of on- and off-site training which it has delivered to thousands of engineers, supporting them with accreditations and increasing their competencies in data centre technologies.
