Austrian Post Deploys ForeScout CounterACT to Secure Head Office and Multiple Networks

ForeScout Technologies, Inc., announced that Austrian Post AG, a provider of mail shipping services in Austria, has selected ForeScout CounterACT to protect is head office network against unauthorised access and possible hacking.
A recent security audit prompted Post AG’s immediate search for a network access control (NAC) solution that would protect the network against unauthorised access. With a total of 23,000 staff – including employees at subsidiaries in 12 other European locations – infrastructure resiliency, security and privacy compliance was paramount in their NAC selection process.
After assessing leading NAC alternatives, Austrian Post chose the ForeScout CounterACT automated security control platform. Compared with other solutions they had looked at, CounterACT provided the best range of functionality, usability and scalability at a competitive price. Low cost of implementation was another compelling factor. Further, not only did ForeScout CounterACT support real-time device detection and assessment of all endpoints without requiring agents, but it proved to reliably recognise any device, including personal mobile devices, on the network behaving suspiciously.
