A special dinner was held last this week at the Hilton Hotel in Singapore, announcing this year’s winners in several categories including excellence in: CTRM/ETRM software, commodity deals, brokerage, trading, exchanges, energy consultancy, and more. Aspect was nominated for its leading Cloud technology, real-time profit and loss (P&L) reporting, and growth in Asia, which parallels its success in every region of the world.

This model, along with Cloud Computing across industries, is dramatically reducing the price of business planning software, and leveling the playing field for smaller and mid-size companies who could not previously afford professional software deployments due to the high cost of hardware, software and maintenance. These costs no longer exist for Web-based applications.
