AOIP Expo 2015 brings a new definition to building and developing PARTNER ECOSYSTEMS. Sensor, camera and processor price drops have opened up the market for wider deployment of wireless networks called THE INTERNET OF THINGS. Intelligence is being pushed closer to the edge. All-in-one readers can display information specific to each employee. Web-based panels allow management from any web-browser. Wireless locks can connect to a gateway or via a mesh network, vastly reducing cabling. Edge recording allows for distributed and decentralized video surveillance.
THE INTERNET OF THINGS along with cloud storage and analytics represents the next generation of control networks for buildings and cities. Hundreds of millions of devices, such as surveillance cameras, alarms, readers, panel devices, door phones, smart sensors that already operate on networks will be stitched together, easily and cost-effectively.
