Acuity launches latest STREAM solution for Governance Risk and Compliance Free single-user copy of STREAM V3.0 available to download

July 2013 by Marc Jacob

With businesses facing increasing pressure from customers, regulators and auditors to demonstrate better compliance, manage operational risk and provide assurance, Acuity has announced a new release of its popular STREAM Integrated Risk Manager software. STREAM V3.0 provides users with a more configurable, scalable and easier-to-use approach to Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and delivers improved visibility and control over business risks.

STREAM increases the efficiency of risk and compliance management processes, allows better targeting of resources and reduces business disruptions, while also providing greater assurance and demonstrating a professional approach to risk management. New functionality in STREAM V3.0 includes an unlimited enterprise tree structure for organising risk registers and reporting views; improved workflow to support planning and control of risk assessment and acceptance activities; multiple risk assessment schemes; a flexible hierarchical asset management capability; and a simplified menu structure based on risks, controls, events and actions.

New V3.0 Content Uploaders for MS-Excel Workbooks connect to the STREAM database and push framework content such as threat lists, control standards, asset classes and related mappings into STREAM; while content from multiple applications such as ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and PCI-DSS can easily be imported into the same database.

Acuity offers a free single-user licence along with a series of single-user and multi-user subscriber editions, which include help desk, free software upgrades with data migration and a Content Builder for easy bulk upload of content. A small business, department or major organisation can buy a fully-scaleable STREAM system to match the size of their enterprise structure. STREAM can be accessed via a web browser, mobile device including iPad, iPhone and Android, or traditional client–server architecture and can be deployed in-house or provided as a hosted SaaS service.
