A New Operating System is now available for PC

Linutop, specialized in energy-efficient IT solutions, today announced
the new version of its Operating System compatible with all PCs: Linutop OS Version 13.10.
New Linutop OS 13.10 is a customised version of Ubuntu 13.10 with XFCE classic graphic environment; it
is delivered with ready-to-use Linux software, Firefox 28, LibreOffice 4, VLC 2 and Linutop Kiosk.
Core feature and benefit enhancements to Linutop OS 13.10 include:
– A New Linutop Kiosk – Designed to configure a secured Internet access point and/or Digital Signage in
few clicks: with toolbar or not, to block certain websites or to lock on designated websites.
– Digital Signage – Linutop Kioskcan be configured to display full screen: images (JPEG, PNG...), URLs,
Web Page, music and even HD video files, compatible with Linutop.tv broadcast system.
– Optimum Security and Privacy – Linutop’s system can be locked in ready only mode, preventing
alterations by viruses or other mishaps. Its ability to recover its initial state minimizes maintenance costs.
– Fast and Flexible OS – Linutop OS is small (750MB) and requires minimal processing power PIII
800Mhz, 512MB of RAM. It can quickly be installed on hard drive, USB key and flash memory (like Intel
NUC).
