24-26 April 2012: EURO ID 2012 jointly with Hospital Build Europe and conhIT

From 24 to 26 April 2012, EURO ID 2012 will present the latest trends in RFID, sensor technology, 2D code, biometrics, barcodes, mobile data collection, RF communication, system integration and card technology on Berlin’s trade fair grounds. Numerous side events, such as field trips, practical examples as part of the user forum, virtual warm-up conferences as well as the Tracking & Tracing Theatre, will accompany the trade fair. Moreover, the 7th European AutoID Award will be presented during the event. This year, Hospital Build Europe and conhIT will take place at the same time as EURO ID. The first European trade fair focussing on hospital construction as well as the most important IT tradeshow for the health sector complement the offerings of the trade fair for automatic identification perfectly: "Bringing these three trade fairs together was important to us in order to generate an ideal platform for visitors and exhibitors. This has expanded the range of topics considerably, and side events of the trade fairs - such as conventions, discussion forums and theme islands, as well as visits to companies and a tour of the new airport in Berlin - are further highlights for the trade fair goers," explains Petra Leven, Managing Director of Informa Business Communication, the organiser of the tradeshow.
Berlin provides broad support for EURO ID 2012
This year, the EURO ID trade fair is once again receiving broad-based support from Berlin’s companies, but also from the Senate of Berlin, the Brandenburg Economic Development Board, Berlin Partner GmbH and the Enterprise Europe Network Berlin-Brandenburg. "Three trade fairs dealing with issues related to IT and health care - Berlin is the perfect venue for this," says Melanie Bähr, Managing Director of the business promotion company Berlin Partner GmbH. Bähr continues: "Both fields constitute important sectors of the future with strong growth in the greater Berlin region. EURO ID 2012, Hospital Build Europe and conhIT complement one another perfectly. For this reason, Berlin Partner supports these three trade fairs as platforms for the close interconnection of health care and IT."
Seventh European AutoID Award
This year, companies can once again apply for the European AutoID Award, which will be presented for the seventh time in 2012. Applications are accepted in the categories of RFID, Optical Identification, Secure Object Identity and Innovative Company. The award presentation will take place during the EURO ID trade fair.
The organiser of the trade fair is Informa Business Communication, a business division of Euroforum Deutschland SE. The sponsoring organisation of the event is Industrieverband für Automatische Identifikation (AutoID), Datenerfassung und Mobile Datenkommunikation AIM e. V. (Industry Association for Automatic Identification, Data Collection and Mobile Data Communication).
