neXus Acquires INTEGID

August 2014 by Marc Jacob

neXus, an international provider of security solutions and services, today announced that it has acquired INTEGID GmbH. Based in Essen, Germany, INTEGID is one of the leading vendors of centralized entitlement management solutions in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH). With the acquisition of INTEGID, neXus continues its successful growth in the DACH region and further strengthens its expertise in the field of entitlement management for physical access control.

For large international enterprises and organizations, managing identities and access entitlements securely and efficiently across multiple locations with heterogeneous IT landscapes is a huge challenge. Ongoing globalization, the increasing mobility of employees as well as growing security and compliance requirements are pushing legacy systems to their limits. The answer lies in a centralized identity and access management system. The management of entitlements for physical access – regardless of the underlying access control systems – is an integral part of such a system.

Founded in 2009 by its current managing directors, Knut Conrads and Marco den Elsen, INTEGID has about 15 employees at its location in Essen. INTEGID’s customers include leading German and international companies such as Deutsche Post DHL and RWE. Its specialized industry solutions, for example for the aviation sector, are used by international airports and also by Deutsche Flugsicherung (German air traffic control).

INTEGID GmbH will remain an independent legal entity. Knut Conrads and Marco den Elsen will continue to act as managing directors of INTEGID. In this role, they will drive the further development of the entitlement management division within the neXus group. The existing INTEGID products will continue to be supported. Service and contacts for existing INTEGID customers will remain the same.
