SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY

An attacker in a guest system can use several vulnerabilities of
VMware Workstation, in order to attack the host system.

 Impacted products: VMware Workstation.
 Severity: 2/4.
 Creation date: 19/04/2017.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY

Several vulnerabilities were announced in VMware Workstation.

An attacker can generate a buffer overflow via Cortado ThinPrint,
in order to trigger a denial of service, and possibly to run code.
[severity:2/4; CVE-2017-4908, CVE-2017-4909]

An attacker can generate a memory corruption via Cortado
ThinPrint, in order to trigger a denial of service, and possibly
to run code. [severity:2/4; CVE-2017-4910, CVE-2017-4911,
CVE-2017-4912]

An attacker can generate an integer overflow via Cortado
ThinPrint, in order to trigger a denial of service, and possibly
to run code. [severity:2/4; CVE-2017-4913]
