SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can send a message the size of which is greater than
256Mb via a websocket managed by Node.js ws, in order to kill the
server process.
Impacted products: Fedora, Node.js Modules not comprehensive.
Severity: 2/4.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The ws module can be installed on Node.js.
This module is an implementation of the protocol WebSockets over
HTTP. However, This module can not handle messages the size of
which is greater then 256Mb.
An attacker can therefore send a message the size of which is
greater than 256Mb via a websocket managed by Node.js ws, in order
to kill the server process.
