SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY

An attacker can use several vulnerabilities of LibVNCServer.

Impacted products: openSUSE Leap.

Severity: 2/4.

Creation date: 04/12/2015.

DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY

Several vulnerabilities were announced in LibVNCServer.

An attacker can generate an integer overflow in MallocFrameBuffer,
in order to trigger a denial of service, and possibly to run code.
[severity:2/4; CVE-2014-6051]

An attacker can generate a memory corruption in malloc, in order
to trigger a denial of service, and possibly to run code.
[severity:2/4; CVE-2014-6052]

An attacker can trigger a fatal error in ClientCutText, in order
to trigger a denial of service. [severity:2/4; CVE-2014-6053]

An attacker can trigger a fatal error in Scaling Factor, in order
to trigger a denial of service. [severity:2/4; CVE-2014-6054]

An attacker can generate a buffer overflow in File Transfer, in
order to trigger a denial of service, and possibly to run code.
