SYNTHESIS OF THE VULNERABILITY
An attacker can craft and send a malicious packet to IBM AIX, in
order to trigger a denial of service of this adapter.
Impacted products: AIX.
Severity: 2/4.
Creation date: 29/07/2016.
DESCRIPTION OF THE VULNERABILITY
The IBM AIX product can use FC5899 / FC1763 adapters.
However, when a malicious packet is received, a fatal error occurs.
An attacker can therefore craft and send a malicious packet to IBM
AIX, in order to trigger a denial of service of this adapter.
