Telenor Joins OSPT Alliance to Promote Open Contactless Standards

OSPT™ Alliance, an international association which provides an open standard for secure transit fare collection solutions, today announces that global mobile network operator (MNO), Telenor, has joined the organization as an Associate Member.
Telenor, which provides tele, data and media services in the Nordics, Central and Eastern Europe and Asia, will contribute to the work of OSPT Alliance’s recently established Host Card Emulation (HCE) Working Group due to its ongoing work in contactless card emulation.
CIPURSE offers an advanced foundation for developing highly secure, interoperable and flexible fare collection solutions. The OSPT Alliance recently published its free-to-download white paper, ’Mobile Network Operators Demanding Open Standards’. The paper details the unique benefits that the CIPURSE™ open standard brings to MNOs.
