TeamViewer® Launches airbackup

TeamViewer, a provider of remote control and online meeting software, today announced that it has released three product bundles for airbackup, its cloud-based backup solution. The new product bundles are specifically tailored to meet the needs of small and medium sized businesses in order to help them safeguard critical data and prevent data loss.
airbackup allows users to backup an unlimited number of devices, as well as providing the ability to backup and restore files and folders, entire Microsoft Exchange Server databases, and also MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases. Each bundle gives system administrators the option to manage all devices with the help of the centralized airbackup-manager.
The “Business Basic” package starts at $25 per month and includes the backup for files, folders and network shares. The “Business Pro” and “Premium” bundles offer additional features, including the backup of MS Exchange Servers, MySQL, MSSQL, and system states. Additional storage space can also be bought easily at any time after the purchase of a bundle package, if required.
TeamViewer’s airbackup uses BackupBoost™ technology, which means extremely fast and effective data
analysis, deduplication and powerful data compression. airbackup does incremental backup on a block
level, so only altered and new data blocks are transmitted. The new backup solution also comes with
maximum security: The enhanced 256-bit AES encryption on transfer and storage works with a userdefined
key that is not stored anywhere on the airbackup servers. All data is locally encrypted before the
data transfer so that no one, not even the airbackup support technicians, can access it.
airbackup is available on Windows 7, 8, Vista and XP, as well as Mac OS X Version 10.6 and later. It’s
also available on Windows Server 2012, 2008R2, 2008 and 2003. The product bundles start at $25 per
month.
