Security Mentor Launches PhishDefense to Combat Cyber Security Threats

November 2017 by Marc Jacob

Security Mentor has announced the most recent version of the PhishDefense phishing simulation service. PhishDefense provides continual security awareness by training employees to spot and resist phishing attacks, while identifying employees susceptible to attacks. Combined with Security Mentor’s award-winning Security Awareness Training, organizations can quickly and easily train their staff to be cyber savvy and become one of the organization’s strongest security defenses.

According to Verizon’s 2016 Data Breach Investigations Report, phishing tops the list of security concerns with 30 percent of phishing messages being opened. PhishDefense enables organizations to safely phish their own staff by launching simulated phishing campaigns and then tracking individual employee behavior. Vulnerable employees are directed to a brief, targeted, real-time training session. Administrators can view reports online, or downloaded, summarizing the success of phishing campaigns.

PhishDefense features include:

• Self-Service or Managed Service: Organizations choose the type of service that best fits their needs.
• Features: Pre-built template phishing messages and training pages make set-up simple, or create organizations can add their own templates. Targeted sending domains make attacks look real.
• Campaigns: Phishing campaigns are created and launched based on our client’s specifications.
• Tracking: The PhishDefense service tracks employees opening phishing simulation messages and clicking on phishing links in messages.
• Reports: The interface includes the ability to view graphic or tabular reports online, or to export them for use locally or for establishing compliance.

The Security Mentor Security Awareness Training Platform drives real employee behavior change by providing a comprehensive training program including the most robust cyber security training available on the market today. Supporting services include the PhishDefense phishing simulation service, policy hosting & management, and awareness materials.
