San Sentinel wins the « Golden Cloud of ISV Innovation » award, during PartnerVIP’s 4th edition

December 2014 by Marc Jacob

Mike Uzan – Founder of San Sentinel received the Cloud innovation award, handed by Jean-Pierre Blettne, journalist from « la Revue du Digital » and by Simon Benayoun, cofounder of PartnerVIP.

San Sentinel was handpicked by an expert’s comity to be p art of 8 companies nominated for the 2014 innovation award. The selection was made amongst companies that had innovating Cloud projects. Each short listed company presented the benefits of their software or project in a 2 minute presentation in a plenary session.

Through an interactive vote, San Sentinel was awarded the “Golden Cloud of Innovation & Channel” in the ISV (Independent Software as a service Vendor) with more than 25% of the votes.

After 4 years of R&D, San Sentinel created a unique “Object-based storage” technology that collects components of a multi vendor storage infrastructure (switches, arrays, …) without human intervention. Each collected object is then normalised and stored in a Data warehouse (Data Center Infrastructure Management).

DCIM is accessible through the Cloud by applications or users, with the use of Web Services, without needing to know the physical location of the information.

Based on a service subscription of 12,24 or 36 months (OPEX), Sentinel Navigator software uses information from the DCIM from anywhere. Using correlations, this “software as a service” transforms technical data into a dashboard allowing managers to make the right decision at the right time.
The transformed intel is used by IT directors to identify applicative risks related to their infrastructure and optimize storage costs.
