SIX Financial Information chooses new generation storage system from Proact

Proact has received an order for a storage system from SIX Financial Information. This contract is the first result of Proact’s partnership with Nimble Storage.
SIX Financial Information is the third biggest supplier of financial information in Europe and a leader in its field in the Nordic region. The new storage system from Proact which SIX has just commissioned for its Nordic operations is an adaptive flash solution where performance is delivered and scaled by the CPU.
“We view this as the next step in storage, and the excellent price-performance ratio was the main reason why we chose the solution from Nimble Storage and Proact,” says Niclas Gustafsson, Head of IT Services at SIX Financial Information Sweden.
SIX uses a number of different data storage platforms in parallel, and a number of business-critical applications have been added to the new storage system right from the outset. This storage system has a broad field of application, providing support to ongoing operations as well as for development and testing.
“The fact that SIX have chosen precisely this solution for their production environment is particularly pleasing as Nimble is an example of a new supplier that we have taken on that we have taken on recently with a view to supplementing our product portfolio,” says Lena Eskilsson, Regional Manager at Proact.
