RepKnight launches BreachAlert™ solution for GDPR compliance
March 2017 by Marc Jacob
RepKnight has launched BreachAlert, a new cloud-hosted platform that can instantly detect and alert organisations when their data is leaked, marketed or sold on the dark web.
In today’s world, data breaches are a fact of life - no matter how good your network security. Whether data is hacked, leaked or lost, GDPR legislation makes it vital for organisations to quickly discover and report data breaches, or face punitive fines of up to 4% of global revenue.
BreachAlert is a proactive mitigating step towards GDPR monitoring and compliance. It provides continuous ‘outside the firewall’ monitoring of millions of Dark Web pages and hundreds of text dump sites like Pastebin, Ghostbin and many more, generating a simple alert when data is found.
Based on the same real-time search engine powering RepKnight’s award-winning Cyber Threat Intelligence platform, BreachAlert is easily configured to search for specific keywords, watermarks, account numbers, or other patterns in an organization’s data. When data is found, BreachAlert will instantly alert you via email, SMS or team messaging apps like HipChat or Slack.
BreachAlert can be deployed as a standalone, fully automated solution or as part of a complete monitoring service. API access is also available to support integration with SIEM systems or other SOC applications.
