November 2007  by Marc Jacob
UBIqube is a global MSSP solutions provider. The UBIqube solution suite helps Telco’s enterprise and VARS cost effectively Manage security devices. Since its creation in 2000 in Grenoble, UBIqube has focussed it’s engineering on the development of an agnostic provisioning and management OSS and a web based control and reporting interface. UBIqube has strategic partners in Europe, Central Europe and Russia, the Middle East and Asia.

Nabil Souli: Our new offer is the product SOC in the BOX: Embedded in enterprise grade hardware, the UBIqube SOC in the BOX provides businesses with a turnkey solution to set up their in-house SOC. Unlike solutions that require the use of multiple management servers and consoles, the UBIqube SOC in the BOX enable the IT staff to control the entire devices life cycle with a unified monitoring and reporting web interface. It is a fully vendor independent security management solution scalable to the thousands of devices managed thanks to a profile based provisioning approach.

GS Mag: What is your opinion about the European market?

Nabil Souli: The security market is at an inflexion point. The incredible penetration of broadband technology across the enterprise spectrum from small to giant has fuelled demand for more IT security. In this context the operational challenge associated with massive security services delivery is considered as critical by a number of service providers’ large enterprises. UBIqube’s technology aims at solving this issue by making provisioning, management and reporting easier than ever even in the case of very large networks.

GS Mag: How do you work with your customers?

Nabil Souli: UBIqube’s pre-sales team assists our channel partner. A dedicated support and integration team is set up for Telco customers.

GS Mag: what is your commercial organisation?

Nabil Souli: We have a network of certified partners in Northern Europe, Russia, Africa and North Africa.

GS Mag: What is your technical organisation in Europe?

Nabil Souli: The support center is in Grenoble sharing the facility with the development team.

GS Mag : What is your message?

Nabil Souli: As you decide to implement security functionalities we believe it essential that IT staff checks out what tool will help them manage the life cycle of what they are installing. The right management platform can save a significant amount of money in operations, avoids human error, guaranties flexibility and makes life easier.
