Moneybookers chooses CRYPTOCard two-factor authentication solution for enhanced data network security

Moneybookers has selected CRYPTO-Shield, the two-factor authentication (2FA) solution from CRYPTOCard to provide its customers with the highest levels of secure network access.
Moneybookers is an e-commerce business that allows payments and money transfers to be made securely and cost-effectively via the Internet. “As a highly competitive and trusted banking alternative, we enable people and businesses to connect at anytime, anywhere in real time,” confirms CEO, Martin Ott.

Moneybooker’s customers simply log in and, when transferring money type in their user name together with a one-time password generated by CRYPTOCard. “This ensures that they benefit from secure online access in order to carry out transactions,” he says.
One time password
Having surveyed the market, Moneybookers selected CRYPTOCard as it was the only solution which could integrate fully with the company’s existing infrastructure based on a Linux platform. “CRYPTO-Shield’s proven and robust open source architecture will reinforce our strong competitive positioning as a leading payment processing provider,” believes Ott.
CRYPTO-Shield provides a strong authentication, one time password solution that positively identifies individuals before granting access to networks, data and applications. “The CRYPTOCard solution is suitable for businesses of all types. However, it is especially important in an online banking environment, given the risk of online fraud and the huge sums of money processed on a daily basis,” says Jason Hart, senior vice president, Europe, CRYPTOCard.
Moneybookers has selected a highly configurable key fob-based token to generate a one time password, so providing greater protection against identity theft.
