LogLogic Experiences 25% Growth in Second Quarter
July 2010 by Marc Jacob
LogLogic announced a solid close to its fiscal second quarter, marked by over 25 percent growth over the same quarter last year. This follows an impressive finish to its previous fiscal quarter, where overall bookings were up an additional 43 percent in the first quarter.
The quarter’s growth was highlighted by the continued expansion of LogLogic’s global customer base with the addition of 42 new customers, including J. Crew, the United States Air Force, the United States Navy Network Operations Center, San Francisco International Airport, Cognizant Technology Solutions and Indiana University.
In Europe and Africa, the quarter’s new customers included Coles Supermarkets, MTN Cameroun, and Budget UK. Asia saw customer growth as well, with the addition of Bank for Agriculture and Agriculture Cooperatives (Thailand), and Fujikura, Ltd.
“We’re pleased to announce another breakout quarter,” said CEO Guy Churchward. “Our Federal business had its best quarter in company history. All indicators point to a positive finish to the year.”
In June LogLogic published the results of its survey of some of the world’s largest banks and financial services companies. The report found that the majority of companies are hesitant to adopt cloud computing, mostly due to security concerns. In Q2, as part of its commitment to promoting security in the cloud, LogLogic joined the Cloud Security Alliance.
This quarter LogLogic also announced agreements with both Cisco and Wipro. The Cisco agreement cements an already strong relationship with the network equipment provider and ensures a more Cisco-friendly product roadmap for the future. The worldwide agreement signed with Wipro formalized a global strategic technology partnership.
LogLogic updated its product line with the release of Security Event Management v3.4 in April. The company also laid the groundwork for its next generation products by releasing a technology preview of its Log Management Virtual Appliance.
