KHEOPS becomes K2 Geospatial
October 2009 by Marc Jacob
KHEOPS technologies, a canadian firm, editor of JMap software a geospatial on line solution, has changed its name and will now be known as K2 Geospatial.
This change of name became necessary but management wanted to maintain a connection with the old name. Thus, the K evokes KHEOPS, the number 2 refers to the company’s second generation (and coincides with Web 2.0!) and Geospatial speaks for itself; Finally, K2, like the well-known Karakorum mountain, refers to movement, youth, inspiration of wide territories, solidity of rock and a goal to reach.
Finally, the new name means a new graphic signature, a new Website (and a Blog) as well as an update of our marketing strategies. However, although we will be known as K2 GEOSPATIAL, there will be no impact on the administrative, corporate and legal standing of the company.
On this occasion, we will also be launching JMap Version 4.0, our flagship product.
