Janne Nyman appointed Technical Manager for LogPoint in the United Kingdom and Ireland

LogPoint has appointed Janne Nyman as Technical Manager to support LogPoint partners and customers in designing and implementing solutions based on the LogPoint SIEM-platform in the United Kingdom and Ireland. The rapidly growing cybersecurity-software provider is a leading European provider of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. LogPoint enables enterprises to proactively monitor their networks and identify security threats in real-time to prevent cyber attacks and fulfil their compliance requirements.
Nyman who is an experienced consultant and manager, will be charged with developing and growing the technical resources and delivery platform for LogPoint throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. He will be working closely with LogPoint partners that are the driving force of the LogPoint approach to the market. His efforts will be focused on pre-sales support and design of SIEM-solutions while supporting the seamless and timely delivery of LogPoint systems in conjunction with the partners. Nyman will also play a key role in defining and delivering training and education activities.

(Photo: LogPoint) 38-year old Nyman is educated as an IT & Automation Engineer and is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with more than 10 years of experience in the Information Technology sector. His curriculum includes both pre-sales and post sales technical consultant positions at LogRythm Inc. as well as a senior IT Security Consultant role at IDSec Ltd. with responsibility for managed SIEM services. In addition, he has been running an independent IC consultancy business; Newman IT Solutions Ltd. Janne Nyman was born in Sweden, and has been residing in the United Kingdom since 2003. He is fluent in English, Finnish and Swedish.
Janne Nyman will be joining the LogPoint team led by Gareth Leggett, Country Manager for LogPoint in the United Kingdom and Ireland, working out of the newly established offices at Parallel House in Guilford, Surrey. LogPoint serves hundreds of organisations in a dozen European countries including the UK, where the company provides SIEM solutions for a number of organisations including Durham County Council, The Engine Group, University of Bedfordshire and British Land.
According to Gartner Group, the cybersecurity and SIEM-markets are currently experiencing double-digit growth. An efficient SIEM-solution will not only aid in the timely detection of cyber threats, but it is also a key tool in the ever-important process of network optimisation. In addition, the implementation of a SIEM-solution to monitor and document network traffic is increasingly becoming a compliance requirement in quality standards as well as in auditing guidelines, company policies and general legislation such as GPG13 defined for the UK markets.
