Identiv Announces Global Expansion With EAC and UkrSEPRO Certification of Intelligent Edge Access Controllers and Reader Modules
April 2017 by Marc Jacob
Identiv, Inc. announced that the company’s EM-100 Physical Access Controllers and Exit Reader Modules have received EurAsian Community (EAC) and UkrSEPRO certifications. With this global expansion, Identiv is now approved to sell and ship both products to EAC member countries, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia Kyrgyzstan, as well as Ukraine.
Identiv’s EM-100 Physical Access Controller is a key component of the latest version of the Cisco-integrated Identiv Connected Physical Access Manager, ICPAM 3.0. ICPAM 3.0 combines world-class reader technologies and security management software with a network-connected Power over Ethernet (PoE) EM-100 controller. By leveraging existing network infrastructure, ICPAM reduces the cost of ownership.
The ICPAM Exit Reader Module for EM-100 enables adding a second reader to protect a door. In many cases, the second reader would act as an exit reader on the inside (secure side) of the door. This second reader would then work in tandem with an entry reader (a reader on the outside, or non-secure side, of the door). With this setup, the exit reader makes it possible to better track authorized personnel locations or movements, including auditing entry and exit times and the associated dates, and provides more flexibility when defining and enforcing anti-passback areas.
