DenyAll announces Cloud Protector, a service designed to simplify web site security

DenyAll announces the availability of Cloud Protector, its new cloud-native solution. Based on its proven, best-of-breed Web Application Firewall technology, the new service makes web application security affordable to all. Leveraging the scalability of the cloud, it removes the need for technical expertise and simplifies the steps required to protect and accelerate any web site. The service will be free of charge until the end of 2014.
In recent years, DenyAll has been investing to deliver application security solutions in the cloud. Beyond its application security testing service, Edge Tester, its professional Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), rWeb and i-Suite, can be instantiated seamlessly on Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. The new WAF-as-a-Service, Cloud Protector, combines the same technology with a simplified interface to meet the needs of the majority of web site owners, who don’t have the expertise to deploy a product designed for enterprises, yet need to ensure their web property remains unaffected by daily attacks.
Web application security for all
Small businesses and local governments, like enterprises, depend on the Internet and web-based applications to promote themselves, share information and transact with their customers, constituents and partners. While they may not realize that fully, all size organizations are the daily targets of web site defacement, denial of service and data theft attempts. Smaller ones don’t necessarily have the knowledge and budgets to efficiently remediate these. Some turn to their trusted service providers, but most of them do nothing by lack of awareness and viable options.
The new Cloud Protector service by DenyAll targets small business owners, e-commerce and e-service web site administrators and mid-size companies who need a cost-effective solution for protecting their presence on the web, their brand and reputation, but also the privacy of their data and that of their customers. Larger organizations may also take advantage of this subscription-based service for securing cloud-based and less-critical Internet-facing applications, such as collaborative portals, extranets, corporate websites and webmail.
Once they have subscribed to the service, a simple redirection of traffic through Cloud Protector will ensure the availability and optimal performance of their web sites and applications, preventing defacements and blocking attempts to steal their data. The cloud-native platform scales automatically as traffic grows. Reports show how many attacks are blocked and how traffic is optimized as a result.
