Comment to be attributed to Paul King, CSO of Cisco UKI
"Cybersecurity has become a critical issue globally, especially here in the UK, and it has become essential that it is tackled in a holistic way by all parties involved - from individuals to business, Government and academia. We need to start to reduce the risks from attackers in new ways and that includes tech and most importantly people and skills.
"CyberFirst is not only a brilliant demonstration of what can be achieved when organisations collaborate, it’s also helping to provide valuable skills to young people who will become invaluable to our future. Cisco is proud to be supporting the programme and will be taking in students to help develop their cyber skills and in turn, help the nation to build a growing supply of highly-skilled cyber security experts who will be essential to protecting our way of life."
