Clavister challenge the established network security vendors in Mauritania

September 2016 by Marc Jacob

Clavister is continuing to see strong interest its solutions in Africa, and has completed its latest agreement for the deployment of four (4) next-generation firewalls at the Mauritian Directorate-General of Taxes.

The Clavister solution was chosen over two major US-based competitors in a competitive tender process.

The agreement with Directorate-General of Taxes includes hardware, software and services for deployment of four W50s, one of Clavisters most powerful security appliances for enterprise networks. The W50 is a high performance next-generation firewall specifically built for fast-growing and demanding networks and supports up to eight million concurrent connections. Clavister Professional Services and partner MDS Cresoft will oversee the deployment of the security system.

The deal follows on from Clavister’s entry to the African market earlier this year, a move by Clavister to enhance its presence in the African cyber-security marketplace, which is expected to grow from $0.92 billion in 2015 to $2.3 billion in 2020, a compounded annual growth rate of 20%.
