Clavister Launches Entry-Level W20 Firewall

January 2015 by Marc Jacob

Clavister announced the launch of its new Clavister W20 firewall appliance.
The new product is the cost-efficient, entry-level appliance in the Clavister Wolf Series, a set of next-generation firewalls designed for enterprises and data centers requiring high performance, excellent scalability and robust functionality.

The new Clavister W20 delivers optimal performance at the best possible price-to-performance ratio. It is the premium network security choice for remote and branch offices or as an entry-level enterprise security gateway.

Key features of the W20 include:

· Multi-functional security software – The same robust and feature-rich security OS as in all Clavister products.

· Simple security service subscription – All software upgrades, and next-generation firewall and unified threat management features, are included in Clavister Security Subscription (CSS).

· True Application Control – Identify and control more than 2,300 applications.

· Centralized management – Stay in full control of your network with Clavister InControl, included in the CSS package.

· Attractive pricing – A competitively priced entry-level platform that, in combination with CSS, provides what you need whenever you need it.

The expanded W20 range further enhances the Clavister product portfolio. Clavister’s solutions now range from the Clavister E5, an entry-level next-generation firewall (NGFW) in a desktop-sized package, to the Virtual Series Gateways that enable the highest levels of throughput, offering six nines (99.9999%) availability for carrier-grade security in the most demanding network environments.

Clavister recently introduced a range of security solutions for mobile network operators to secure 4G and LTE networks, enabling mobile network operators to secure their networks against cyberattacks and data interception. It is also developing low-footprint, embedded security technology to help secure IP-connected smart devices.
