| As one of the most important platforms for business technology in the
world, CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia last year attracted 971 exhibitors from 21
countries. Covering a display area of approx. 60,000 square metres at the
Tüyap Exhibition Grounds in Istanbul, the show was attended by around
160,000 visitors. Its significance to the entire Black Sea region was
underlined by the huge media presence – no fewer than 1,900 accredited
journalists attended. CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia not only plays an important
part in promoting the development of the ICT sector in Turkey, but also
reaffirms Istanbul’s growing reputation as a hub of the ICT sector beyond
Turkish borders.
Indeed, international interest in CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia, one of the ten
biggest trade shows of its kind worldwide, has increased year after year.
Serving as it does as a bridge between East and West, CeBIT Bilisim
Eurasia continues to extend its outreach and its program in line with key
global trends.
The trade show thus represents an opportunity for companies
interested in meeting and identifying potential international business
partners. In 2009 the trade show will again be dedicated to the keynote
themes Innovation, Job & Career, Software, eHealth and Telehealth,
Public Sector Park and HD World. It will also feature a special NetBook
area, providing visitors with insights and specialist information. Like CeBIT
Hannover, this year’s CeBIT Bilisim will also address what has been
dubbed “Webciety” – the interaction of web-based technology and
society. Alongside specialist information and insights into society on line,
visitors will also be able to use this technology, guided by their own cell
phone or using a smart GMS system for arranging appointments between
exhibitors and visitors. The CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia concept is designed to
help visitors find all the products they are interested in quickly, easily and
systematically.
In 2009 CeBIT Bilisim Eurasia will again provide a showcase for
products and services. This will be supported by a wide spectrum of
events designed to promote business and joint ventures, as well as
seminars, keynote speeches and special events for NGO’s.
In addition to numerous international displays and national pavilions
from various countries, this year’s trade fair will again feature a joint
display from Germany. To this end, the German Ministry for Business and
Technology will be offering companies attractive conditions. |
